Our Road to More Inclusive Practices for the LGBTQIA+ Community

2018 — Creation of the LGBTIQA+ Working Group

2018 Became member of the ACON Welcome Here Project

2019 Creation of Transwomen’s focus group/s (MatchWorks). Creating safe spaces for trans women to build networks on the road to employment.

2019 Creation of LGBTIQA+ awareness training delivered to genU, MatchWorks & IPA staff nation-wide.

2019 creation of the genU Pride Committee

2019 — launch of the genU GAMER Rainbow virtual gaming sessions.

2020 — genU at the Midsumma Carnival


• Creation of employer-related LGBTIQA+ awareness training to ensure lived experience informs inclusive workplace practice.• 

• Gaining Rainbow Tick accreditation.
